New for 2010, the NJMP Sportbike Championship Cup Series. Multiple classes of sportbikes will race under CCS rules in these exciting races that will be run on both Lightning and Thunderbolt Raceways.

SCCA Pro Racing (Thunderbolt)

SCCA Pro Racing will hold their first event at NJMP this year. This event will feature the long anticipated Trans-Am Series. Support races will include VW TDI Cup, Spec Racer Pro, Formula Enterprise Pro, and a special Vintage Trans-Am Race.

New Jersey Vintage Grand Prix and Family Festival (Thunderbolt)

The VSCCA is the oldest automotive preservation club in America that offers a complete race program, with emphasis on rare and unusual sports and racing cars including pre-war and post- war machines through 1959. Don’t miss your chance to see these cars in action, not stored in a museum!

The Devil After Dark 12 Hour

The Devil after Dark 12 Hour endurance race will test both cars and drivers alike. As many as 20 SCCA classes will compete into the night. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to witness one of the most exciting spectacles in motorsport!

Formula Zoom, featuring the Atlantic Championship powered by Mazda (Thunderbolt)

The open-wheel, lightning quick Atlantic Championship series has produced an alumni list that is a who’s who of racing stars, including past and present drivers like Bobby Rahal, Michael Andretti, Danica Patrick, Sam Hornish Jr., A.J. Allmendinger and many others. The Star Mazda Championship and the always-thrilling SCCA Pro Playboy MX-5 Cup series join the Atlantic Championship during the weekend.

Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series (Thunderbolt)

This exciting series provides non-stop action as exotic Daytona Prototypes and thundering GT cars compete at the same time for top honors. Also on the schedule is the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, the Ford Mustang Challenge, Skip Barber Pro Series, as well as a Porsche Club Invitational Race

WSK North American Series (F1 New Jersey)

The WSK North American Series will be run by Championship Karting International (CKI), the premier karting championship in the United States that debuted at F1 New Jersey last season. The North American Series will begin a two week run of top-level karting events, capped by WSK International.

Ferrari Challenge (Thunderbolt)

One of the most spectacular racing series in the world, the Ferrari Challenge North America brings a full field of race prepped Ferrari F430’s to NJMP again. Exotic high speed excitement continues all weekend long with the Ferrari Historic Challenge as well, featuring everything from early Ferrari sportscars to ex-Formula 1 race cars.

Winning Series Karting International World Championship
(F1 New Jersey)

The only North American round of the Italian-based Winning Series Karting (WSK) International visits New Jersey Motorsports Park’s F1 New Jersey track, July 28 - August 1. WSK International, which hosts a European series, is running a true National Championship for karting competitors in 2010. The three-race series visits Portimao, Portugal; Sham el Sheik, Egypt; and F1 New Jersey at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

While wild-card entries may be accepted, each of the full-time competitors in the world championship are required to enter all three events - assuring a true international flavor at the F1 New Jersey stop. WSK will bring the world’s focus to New Jersey Motorsports Park with an international television package, beaming the race around Europe.

ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX (Thunderbolt)

The ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX returns this season under the August sun. Come feel the thundering V-8 powered stock cars deviate from their usual oval schedule to turn left and right at New Jersey Motorsports Park’s Thunderbolt Raceway road course.

Rally America

Rally America visits NJMP for the first time in 2010, blending both paved and off-road competition. High-horsepower, high-strung import and domestic race cars will traverse the Lightning Road Course, as well as some off-road detours and challenging jumps.

AMA Pro Superbike Championship (Thunderbolt)

The most popular event in the short history of New Jersey Motorsports Park was last season’s debut of the AMA Pro Superbike Championship. Already one of the favorites on the series calendar, the event establishes a Labor Day tradition at NJMP for the series and Mid-Atlantic motorcycle race fans.

Josh Hayes is expected to lead a swarm of new challengers to Mat Mladin’s vacated-by-retirement Superbike title, in a season that might be the most wide open championship race in years.

WKA Dunlop Tire Road Racing Series (Lightning) and WKA Manufacturer's Cup (F1 New Jersey)

Based purely on numbers, the largest karting weekend of the year may be September 17-19 at Lightning Raceway and F1 New Jersey. One of the most anticipated weekends each season has been the Woodbridge Karting Club’s hosting of the World Karting Association (WKA) Dunlop Tire Road Racing Series. This season’s event places some of the fastest gokarts available on the 1.9-mile Lightning Circuit, providing a show unlike any other.

While the WKA road racing is happening, the WKA Manufacturer’s Cup will bring toplevel sprint racing to the F1 New Jersey tarmac - filling the paddock with the high-speed machines, their drivers, and their families.

VRG Vintage Weekend (Lightning)

The Vintage Racers Group will offer exciting historic sports car racing featuring cars from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. Notable marquees include MG, Triumph, Spitfire, Porsche, Volvo, Mustang, Corvette, and many more.
