Brad Scott Named New Jersey Motorsports Park General Manager

Millville, NJ (December 4, 2009) - Brad Scott has been named the new General Manager of New Jersey Motorsports Park, joining the South Jersey facility after more than 20 years of experience managing operations in a variety of east coast sporting facilities.

Mr. Scott comes to New Jersey Motorsports Park having most recently served as a regional director for Aramark, overseeing the company's services at Philadelphia's Wachovia Center. During 10 years at Aramark, Scott's duties covered luxury suite operations, membership, sponsorship, marketing, retail and catering responsibilities. As a regional director, Scott worked at a variety of Aramark-run facilities, including Boston's Fenway Park and Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore.

"In bringing in Brad, New Jersey Motorsports Park has added a General Manager with a strong background in sports and entertainment management, as well as in a country club setting," said Lee Brahin, New Jersey Motorsports Park principal. "That skill set is what we were looking for as we take the next step in our development, and we're looking forward to Brad coming on board."

Scott's tenure at Aramark was sandwiched around a five-year stint as Chief Operating Officer/GM at Riverton Country Club in Cinnaminson, N.J. At Riverton Country Club, Scott oversaw all aspects of the club, ranging from membership growth to the club's restaurant and catering and the overall care of the golf course.

Prior to that, Scott worked for nine years at the former Garden State Park Race Track in Cherry Hill, N.J.

"I'm looking forward to joining the staff at New Jersey Motorsports Park and becoming a part of such a truly world-class facility," Scott said. "This park has accomplished so much in a short period of time, both in the community and the motorsports industry, and there's no doubt that it's only going to continue to grow."

Scott, his wife and three children currently reside in Riverton, N.J. Scott will begin at New Jersey Motorsports Park on Monday, December 7.

The hire replaces Kevin Wittman, who during a 14-month stint as General Manager oversaw the first full season of racing at New Jersey Motorsports Park, including the South Jersey debut of the AMA Pro Superbike Championship -- the most popular event in the short history of the facility.

"We appreciate the work that Kevin did, as the facility has certainly grown in his time here," Brahin said. "His efforts have helped to grow each aspect of our park from the membership base to daily operations. During the time of his management, New Jersey Motorsports Park has continued to grow in stature in the industry and has become a permanent part of the community. We wish Kevin nothing but the best in his future endeavors."
